cuts (2024 ongoing)

In the series cuts, geometric and organic shapes derive from the tactile manipulation of crudely cut paper. Through the repetitive exposure and re-exposure of the paper, I metaphorically explore the concept of wounds and scars, both physical and emotional. The jagged and clean edges of the paper and the overlapping layers of imagery serve as a visual metaphor for the multifaceted nature of our wounds, as well as our capacity for resilience and growth.
