chemical paintings (2023 - Present)

: decisions, plotted and emerging from chance or chaos

Navigating between decision and consequence, my work explores the marks left by the choices we make. Working primarily with photographic paper, chemicals, and light my process is iterative, reworking and refining, countless decisions woven together to form a singular, unrepeatable image.  In each work, anything that touches the paper, whether a chemical, a drop of water or exposure to light, leaves a permanent trace, creating a visual record of action and reaction.
